Oregon is one of my favorite places on earth. It has incredibly diverse geology, from high deserts, to temperate lush deciduous forest, to a string of volcanic peaks that lines the backbone of the Cascades, to beaches that at times defy words. I love all of it, actually. I moved there in 1983 to attend college, and my love affair with it never ended, even when I moved away, in 1987 and again in 1995. I returned to the state in late September 2014, back to Portland. I very much enjoy calling Oregon home again. I will slowly be building up my archive of photographs over time. I am including some trip photos of the Columbia River Gorge, wheat country, the high desert, Newberry Caldera, the Willamette Valley, the Portland area, and more.  (Last updated September 2016.)
